I’ve lived in Japan on / off for quite some time, and I’ve always felt safe back at my bike right right here, especially when I usually see young and women that are old biking at all hours for the evening. But after a conference a couple of weeks ago, personally i think as though this sense that is false of happens to be stripped away.
Cycling house at 8:30 p.m. on a street that is well-lit Tokyo, we sensed another biker by my side, and so I slowed up to let him pass. When this occurs he instantly cut over, trapped me against a car that is parked grabbed my tire.
He started yelling at me personally in Japanese, but the thing i really could demonstrably comprehend was “You took this bike!” we insisted that I had maybe perhaps not and attempted to take away, however the guy ended up being continued and strong yanking back at my bike.Læs mere
